Give the idea
somewhere to go.
Search for a word you remember. Replay the original audio. Add a photo or place so future-you gets the full picture.
When it’s ready for someone else, share your thought as text, an image or a file. Include the recording if you want.

Do I need an Action button?
No. You can record or type inside Spitball on an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. The Action button is an optional shortcut on compatible iPhones.
Where do my thoughts go?
They stay in the app on your iPhone by default. iCloud Sync is optional. We do not store your private library on a Spitball server.
Does it work offline?
You can capture thoughts without an internet connection. On-device transcription depends on your device, language and speech models, which may need an initial download. iCloud sync needs a connection.
Why do I need TestFlight?
Spitball is currently in beta. TestFlight is Apple’s app for installing and updating beta apps. Our download page walks you through both steps.
Can I share a thought with someone?
Yes. Open a thought and use Share to choose the format and destination. The person receiving it does not need Spitball to read text or open a standard exported file.
